On steamy humid days you want quick, light, savoury meals. Go to this month’s column for winetrust100.com where I’ve created this Marseille inflected recipe, using a mix of smoked fish and shellfish, provencale vegetables and a hint of the east, saffron. This recipe matches with light-bodied red wines which can be chilled. More here.

Kerstin, your fish stew looks so enticing I must find the recipe.

It was really gorgeously tasty, thanks for commenting!

The stew looks great, I love the golden colour the saffron gives. We were in Marseille last year and it brings back memories…happy sunny days!

I really love Marseille. Did you have the fish stew and rouille at the dockside?
In fact I love ports. Sete is great too.

Yes – and it was great, we also went to Sete but that was a few years ago now. There's also a little place along from Sete I think it's called Meze, all fab places for seafood. Just makes me want to grab my passport and disappear…

Oh god yes. Currently avoiding work, procrastinating like mad.

I'm about to hoover – my life is so rock n' roll…
