I’ve done this every year now for 10 years except for the pandemic. June is my favourite month. Lovely guests, lovely light, sun, fragrance, food, drink. The flavours of summer: elderflower, strawberries, watermelon, feta, mint, wild fennel, dill, asparagus. Scandinavia… smoked salmon, herrings, Vasterbotten tart, BBQ, crisp bread, home made and from Peter’s Yard
, flower crowns and bonfires. Some autumn produce as well: wild mushrooms, corn on the cob, hazelnuts…
