My Marmite on toast feels woefully inadequate now! The kettle is on – I always need to prepare a cup of tea to go with my marmite on toast; it's ritual!
Danny: Aga toast is for the sophisticate who is also in touch with their paleo/hunter-gatherer side. Crispy on the outside, squodgy on the inside, with additional no extra fee blackened bits.
Donald: I know! Paltry isn't it? But I do think that one of the things that put foreigners off is that they put too much on at first and can't handle it.
Kerstin, that was hilarious. I'm off to the kitchen to make a Marmite on toast now (got a jar of Guinness Marmite). PS Did I not give you one of those fab Estonian wooden butter knives in Israel???
I love your Marmite video except we use vegemite down here. You are a natural and made me laugh out loud especially demonstrating how to put the butter on the toast. I am very envious of that Aga ! and a nice cup of tea.
I loved the video….and I am in Spain and we don´t use marmite in regular basis but I know if from the time spent in England…..I haven´t put it on toasts!!! NEVER…..but from the look of your face…it seems as if it´s a delicacy…so next time. A big kiss from a Spanish follower…Love from the basque country. (you don´t need a mascara, you look great)

OMG, now you made me hungry, I make my toast with marmite exactly the same, nothing compares to a good marmite toast!! Thanks for that!

Joy: I agree! They didn't cover that part, but rest assured we all had a big cup of tea with the toast.
Natalie: too right!

Barbecued toast! Nice

I'm sorry but there was a woeful amount of marmite on that slice of toast. Is it really so long since I was a marmite debutante?

Although I spent 10 years telling my daughter that eating crusts gives you curly hair, Theldry.

Come back Emanuelle, all is forgiven! 🙂
I actually like to put so much Marmite on my toast that it makes my scalp tingle!

GOD were you actually offering it to someone else at the end, there? That's just wrong.

Mark! You meanie! I like quite a lot of marmite but not so thick it's like tar.
CDaventry: well she is a relative. My daughter actually.

CDaventry: I'm legally obliged to feed her.

I am here on the other side of the pond, and I am eager to try Marmite. Thank you for the primer!

toast without anyone else's input is very flat, making it the perfect uncovered canvas on which to put a scope of garnishes.
