Christmas gifts for food lovers

November 26, 2011 5 Comments Filed Under: Christmas, Uncategorized

I spend all year squirrelling away links to stuff I like and want to buy. All for you… my dearest readers. Remember: buy cheap buy twice.
Bread proving baskets £12 from The Laundry.
Great site for unusual cookbooks such as the above.
Ceramic rolling pin £14 ish from Anthropologie. Perfect for keeping your pastry cool
Gorgeous fairy tale soup tureen. Expensive though but a lovely treat. Anthropologie £98
Oak chopping boards £45 Although whether you’d want one saying ‘VAT’ is questionable.
Pastel coloured trugs from Burgon and Ball. £11.95
Copper is a divine Venusian metal which will repel slugs and not rust. Copper trowel from Implementations.co.uk. £31 including delivery.
Regular readers of my blog will know how I love a beautifully crafted brush. Here’s a vegetable scrubbing brush by Irisgruppen. Price? Who knows, the site is in Swedish I think.
Stovetop smoker £43 Another good present for men. Men are so hard to buy for.
Cheese making kits. All different prices. Men will love this.
For those who sew: I really like this fabric above.

Lou Rota’s plates £55 each, imagine having a whole dinner set! Stunning.

My favourite florist just happens to be near me: Achillea Flowers on Mill Lane is a magical corner shop with blowsy blooms filling carefully selected vintage containers. They do gorgeous christmas wreaths too.

I don’t have a washing line you can peg things to, but I’m sure I can find lots of uses for these cute handpainted dolly pegs. £6.50p
Clever, clever, clever enamelware from these Welsh artists.
Ok this is cheating, not really foodie but I’m sure one can find a use for this binding in the kitchen! £16.95
How cute is this? Me wantee. £47

Hand painted tin cans from Peru £14-16 from Refound a site which has other great stuff (but a little expensive)
